An Earnest Contend

"And even things without life giving sound, whether pipe or harp, except they give a distinction in the sounds, how shall it be known what is piped or harped? For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle? So likewise ye, except ye utter by the tongue words easy to be understood, how shall it be known what is spoken? for ye shall speak into the air. There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without signification." ( I Corinthians 14:7-10)

Everyday of our life, from the moment we begin our day, is blasted with the cacophony of noise. Opinions and emtionally stirred complaints. News both good and bad. There be many voices, and none is without significance, but some more significant than others. Our world is engulfed in darkness, and the multitudes walk aimlessly by blinded by the hardness of their hearts. Where is the hope?

Herein is the Hope. There is a God who loves. Though the world be shrowded in darkness, His Light is ever shining. Though there be a blaring of noise, the same Voice that spoke all into Being is still speaking unto this day. Though there be a mass of confusion, the Lord Himself provides the clarity.

It is our desire not be another voice in the cacophony of this world, but to be apart of the Symphony of the Lord of Glory. It is our desire to echo the voice of He who spoke in the beginning, and to provide His answer to the world's problems. It is our desire not simply to be right among men, but to be True unto the Lord.

Thank you for joining us on the endeavour of Earnest Contend, we look forward to all that the Lord will do.

Unto His Glory,
Nicholas A. Gilbert
